Busted

Justin's knee, that is. As you may (or may not) know, Justin joined a soccer league this year. His first/last game was Wednesday. While playing goalie, he came down wrong on his knee on the AstroTurf/ concrete floor. But he saved the goal, that is what we must remember. The injury was aggravated with a second, less sports-related injury the next day involving our stairs. Now Justin is out for the season (at least 12 weeks, maybe 12 months). The second worst part is that Justin is allergic to neoprene, the stuff of which knee braces are made. On Monday, we are going to the special store that sells very expensive knee braces. So much for the new goalie gloves Justin wanted. (The first worse part, duh, is that he is out for the season.)

The funny part is that the kids are "Me, too!" kinds of people. They have been walking around with band-aids on their right knees all day, "Just like Daddy."
